Documentation regarding platform architecture, security protocols, transaction handling, and vendor compliance standards.

01 Platform Architecture & Access

Darkmatter Official Shop serves as the designated cryptographic verification node and entry point for the Darkmatter Market ecosystem. We host signed PGP mirrors, maintain operational status metrics, and provide security protocols to facilitate secure, authenticated access to the V3 onion network infrastructure. This portal operates independently of the market backend to ensure uptime during network stress.

Link verification is a mandatory security practice. Users must download the Darkmatter Administrative PGP Key and verify the signed message block found on the Links page. The primary V3 address is kb3qxip7bvh6rgfre7h7gcxth2bf7ezo5tubp3a5cdef2pboc3bpdtad.onion. Any URL not cryptographically signed by the official key should be treated as compromised.

The platform operates exclusively on the Tor network (.onion) to ensure end-to-end encryption and IP obfuscation for both server infrastructure and client connections. This architecture prevents traffic analysis and ensures a zero-knowledge environment. Access requires a configured Tor Browser instance with JavaScript disabled (Security Level: Safest).

02 Account Security Protocols

Darkmatter utilizes a mnemonic seed recovery system. Upon registration, a unique 12-word mnemonic phrase is generated. This phrase is the sole cryptographic method to reset credentials. Administrative staff cannot reset passwords manually due to Bcrypt hashing protocols. Loss of the mnemonic results in permanent account loss.

2FA is implemented via PGP challenge-response. Users must upload a public PGP key to their profile. Upon login, the server encrypts a unique alphanumeric token with the user's public key. The user must decrypt this token locally and enter it to authenticate. This method mitigates credential harvesting attacks effectively.

03 Financial Operations

Monero is mandated due to its superior fungibility and privacy architecture, specifically Ring Signatures, RingCT, and Stealth Addresses. These features obfuscate sender, receiver, and transaction amounts. Bitcoin (BTC) is deprecated on the platform as its transparent ledger allows for chain analysis and transaction tracing, which violates our operational privacy standards.

Funds are held in a secure market-controlled escrow container (or Multisig configuration). Release to the vendor is triggered only upon buyer confirmation of receipt or the expiration of the 14-day auto-finalization timer. The timer can be extended by the buyer if shipping delays are communicated. Early Finalization (FE) is restricted to vendors with Level 5 trust scores.

Deposits are free of market fees; however, users must pay the network transaction fee. Withdrawals incur a dynamic network fee based on current Monero mempool congestion, plus a flat 0.0005 XMR processing overhead. Vendor sales are subject to a progressive commission rate ranging from 4% to 2% based on vendor level.

04 Vendor & Trade Compliance

Vendor status requires a non-refundable bond of 2.00 XMR to deter spam and low-quality merchants. Verification involves cross-referencing PGP identities from established markets (e.g., Recon, Dread) and a probationary period. Vendors must maintain a minimum 95% positive feedback rating to retain listing privileges.

Disputes halt the auto-finalization timer. The resolution process involves a heuristic analysis of vendor history and shipping metrics, followed by human moderator review. Both parties must submit evidence (logs, tracking if applicable). Decisions are binding. The average resolution time is 48-72 hours.

Darkmatter Market strictly prohibits the sale of weapons/firearms, explosives, CP/CSAM, human trafficking services, fentanyl and its analogues, poisons, and high-impact malware (ransomware). Listings violating these terms are removed immediately, and vendor accounts are permanently suspended and blacklisted.
